Tvrđa

Historic Tvrđa is the old town center of Osijek, situated on the south bank of the River Drava. Baroque architecture of the Habsburg star fort is well preserved, despite being damaged during the Croatian War of Independence in the 1990s. The fort is home to several museums, including the Museum of Slavonia, filled with the history and culture of the region. There are also nearby casual restaurants, bars and cafes.
