Fantasia with Blood of Aza (UK), NastasyaKish (MKD), Erhvie, Bianca Intensa, Serpentina + Teodora Nešković
ALARMAAA!!!
On Saturday, May 17th, Fantasia descends to the subdeck of 20/44 for the first time with undisputable music royalty – Blood of Aza. She’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she is the moment.
Blood of Aza is a DJ and music producer known for blending dark, atmospheric sounds with the noisiest pop-edits and disturbing post-internet tracks, by way of which she has risen to SoundCloud fame, so much so that Aphex Twin has featured her tracks in his sets. Her music is a blissful, reminiscent, yet challenging experience, in which you’re always on a journey towards the new, but grounded in the perfect measure of the known to keep you locked in. Expect to hear anything from soothing MIDI lullabies and speaker-blowing club edits to hell-raising ambient soundscapes, and be ready to walk away with a new understanding of what club music can be.
We’ll also be hosting NastasyaKish of Baby Beef Crew from Skopje and co-founder of Amok Radio, known for her eclectic and dynamic sets in which she blends dubbed-out textures with percussive, bass-driven rhythms that often reflect the influence of the UK scene. As a resident DJ and promoter at Skopje’s leading clubs, including Minus Eden and Epicentar, she is committed to shining a light on the avant-garde corners of electronic music, creating bold and immersive club experiences in her hometown and elsewhere.
Belgrade noise queen Erhvie, part of the Tenza collective and a voice on the liberated SKC Radio, will treat us to one of her unique sets that might have us drooling on the dancefloor. Her sets move through noise, deconstructed club, and ambient unease, where structure is always at risk. She builds spaces where sound reminds us of what the body always knew, and dance becomes one's quiet defiance.
And the cherry on top – artist Teodora Nešković will be in charge of an interactive installation in which you’ll be able to enjoy your time off the dancefloor. Teodora’s works include painting, sculpture and installations. They are infused with autobiographical echoes, allegorical figures, and dreamlike landscapes, crafting visually striking and emotionally resonant worlds – one of which we’ll be able to enter at the party.
Fantasia mommas Serpentina & Bianca Intensa will be opening and closing out the night, so come early and stay late.
Fantasia seeks to empower women, trans and non-binary people in the underground music and art scene - performers and guests alike. The event is open to everyone with tickets available at the door and on RA. Racism, sexism, queerphobia or any other kind of discrimination will not be tolerated.
