Bitter Babe originally hails from Bogotá and is currently based in Europe, where her profile in the underground club scene has soared. Over the past few years, she has toured the US, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Latin America, and dropped two EPs with frequent collaborator Nick León, while playing everywhere from Dekmantel to Panorama Bar, Primavera Sound, Horst, and more. To say she has been busy is an understatement, but it is this relentless forward motion that has positioned her as one of the most exciting selectors of the mid-2020s.

If there’s an imprint that has left its mark on almost every corner of the dance music ecosystem, it is TraTraTrax. Run by DJs Lomalinda, Nyksan, and Verraco, TraTraTrax has been introducing and amplifying the sounds that erupt from the streets and clubs of Sur America. The platform has not only signed regional heavyweights but also propelled exciting talents and cutting-edge producers from the Global South into stardom — with Bitter Babe often being the flagbearer.

The selections at Karmakoma on the 19th of December will be eclectic, cycling through genres as disparate as house, breakbeat, techno, and dembow with effortless fluidity — further expanded by Feloneezy and Stellarcompanion in a cozy, limited-capacity setting. Not to be missed.
